The Great Game was a risky pursuit of influence and intelligence that military officers and imperialism adventurers participated in. Mapping terrain, scouting mountain passes, and forming alliances were all part of the Great Game. This was all to prepare for the anticipated war for India. Competition amongst European countries also furthered imperialism in Southeast Asia.
