There were three main motives that almost all of Europe used through their exploration. The first motive that explorers used was gold. Many explorers wanted to obtain wealth from their explorations by finding various items during their explorations such as gold. The next motive that explorers used was God. Many explorers felt that it was essential for them to spread their religion during their explorations. The final motive that European explorers used was glory. Many explorers would go on explorations so that they could have glory when they came back to their country. Explorers thought that if they found something extraordinary during their explorations, than they would come back and have glory for themselves and country.
