School Visits

In-school visits are a one hour visit by an artist usually held in the school’s gym or library.

Every year Wordfest provides a variety of opportunities for young people to experience the power of story.

Depending on the age of the students, authors may read excerpts from their work, draw on-the-spot (if the author is also an illustrator), or explain their methods and inspirations.

If time permits, students may have the opportunity to meet the author personally and have books or bookmarks signed. If interested, please discuss this with us ahead of time.*

Many students expressed that they couldn’t wait to read the books presented. Thank you for the opportunity!
