Public events are held in theatres where students encounter authors in an unforgettable, live experience.

What to Expect

Depending on the age of the students, events can run from

1 1/2 to 2 hours and usually consist of an author presentation, question & answer period and book signing.

Wordfest Youth brings writers from across Canada and around the world in contact with young readers at fun, educational events that promote a love of reading and a deeper appreciation of the written word. The 20th annual Wordfest runs October 13-18, 2015, in Calgary and the Bow Valley.
