1. Summarize the role of bacteria in agriculture and the importance of microorganisms in agricultural biotechnology.

Bacteria can be used in agriculture mainly for plants.

Microbes can be genetically modified to tackle a certain task.

Bacteria is a large group of microorganisms that contain cell walls.

Only a few micrometers in lenth, 25,400 in an inch

Bacteria are single celled but don't underestimate them because they can get you sick p.

An example is our hydroponics system. Microbes could be modified to tackle the task that bacteria in the soil would do.

Soil microbes are responsible for regulating the plant productivity and this can be handy in nutrient depleted ecosystems.
