Complications

- Syphilis is curable but if treated too late it may lead to permanent damage to the heart and brain.

- It gets better if you take care of it properly and within time, but if you wait too long it will get worse.

- To get better you have to take anti-biotics (penicillin).

- Without treatment syphilis can lead to damage throughout your body:

*Small bumps or tumors

* Neurological problems (deafness)

* Cardiovascular problems

* HIV infection

* Pregnancy & childbirth complications
