Jazz Age
7
The term "Jazz Age" was coined by the famous F Scott Fitzgerald, concerning the 1920's. Beginning in New Orleans and other parts of the south after WW1, Jazz spread through routes of the Great Migration, along with the help of the radio, to make it nationwide. Jazz is a mixture of the blues and rapid ragtime beat with improvised melodic tunes. One of the most famous musicians in this era was Louis Armstrong as he played trumpet, cornet, and his vocals.
