Ernest Heading this Way

After fighting and becoming a veteran from the Great War, Ernest Hemingway became an author. He joined the "lost generation" after contempt for the materialism and frivolity after the WW1 from having had first hand experience. In 1929 he wrote A Farewell to Arms a Lieutenant serving in the ambulance corps of the the Italian Army.
