Basking Shark

Habitat: They prefer to live in warmer water temperatures though. 

Body Size: up to 30 feet long.

Main Prey: They are referred to as a filter feeder which means they move along the water with their mouth open. 

Life Expectancy: Up to 50 years.

Average # of offspring: 3 offspring 

Characteristics: 

1) The basking shark gets its name from slow moving and enjoying time basking in the sun. 

2) The liver is believed to be ¼ of the overall body weight.
