Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca was a spanish nobleman who went on many expeditions in the Americas and the surrounding islands. The spanish and other European powers established communities in the Americas, and conquered many cities, leading to the coexistence of the locals and the Europeans. The Europeans that came over to the Americas were almost all men rather than women, which led to these men having sexual relations with the locals and even with slaves. This caused multicultural interactions and coexistence, and the formation of multicultural societies. Eventually the Europeans controlled most areas, and the locals and Europeans started to blend together into a mestizo or mixed society.
