• The revolt against nobles or the “Fronde”
• Continued Richelieu's anti-Habsburg policy.
• Second Fronde led by Nobles of the sword was in 1650, they were interested in overthrowing Mazarin to secure their positions and to increase their own power. The Fronde was crashed by 1652, it made everything easier because nobles fought one another instead of Mazarin.
• Ending of the Fronde majority of French concluded that the best thing for stability was for them to lay the crown.
