Lymphatic System
The immune system and the lymphatic system are 2 closely related organ systems that share several organs. The immune system is our body's defense system against viruses and infections from the outside world. The immune system works to keep these harmful things out of the body and fights the ones that manage to get inside of the body. The lymphatic system is made up of vessels and other organs that transport lymph from tissues going to the bloodstream. Lymphatic tissue cleans lymph and abnormal cells. The lymphatic system also transports fatty acids to the circulatory system .
Major organs:
Lymph vessels-Structures of the lymphatic system that transport fluid away from tissues.
Tonsils- help fight infections removing tonsils doesn't increase susceptibility to infection.
Spleen- located on the left side of the body right above the kidney. You can live without your spleen but those who have had their spleen removed is more prone to infection.
Thymus-
