King Charles II Takes Over
Prince Charles takes over in 1658 and created a monarchy once again, because Cromwell's government had collapsed. This ruling was known as "The Restoration".
Habeas Corpus
In 1679, Parliament created a document to more freedom to prisoners and gave them more rights like allowed trials for everyone.
James II
In 1685, Charles II dies and James II takes control. He displays Catholicism which offends his subjects.
