King Charles Is Kept Prisoner

With a new general, Oliver Cromwell, the Puritians had many new advantages. Cromwell created a new army which defeated many Cavaliers (loyalists to Charles). By 1647, Charles is a prisoner during the English Civil War by the Puritians and his trial took place 2 years later.
