Major Events

There were many epic events that took place during this battle and some of them were these. The Americans started the battle of Freeman's farm. A militia of sharpshooters under Daniel Morgan started to harass the British. When General John Burgoyne and the British soldiers were tying to advance south the sharpshooters started to harass them. The British could've possibly lost at this Beattie too, but the German Hessian forces under Riedesel came to the rescue and saved the British. On the other hand the British started the battle of Bemis Heights. The British tried to force their way through the American line on Bemis Heights. The Americans thought this was a sign of battle and started to battle with the British. The Americans even defeated the British in the battle of Bemis Heights.
