Analyze the economic system developed by the silver trade and its effects.

-Silver is a main part to the silver trade. Spanish mining industries in Mexico and Peru powered Spanish economic systems as well as global economy through the use of silver.

-Silver from the Americas would make its way across the Atlantic to Spain and markets throughout Europe, and from there European merchants traded it for silk, spices and porcelain in the markets of Asia. Some Silver went from the West Coast of Mexico across the Pacific Ocean to Manila, where the silver would be traded in Asian markets.

-The Spanish government reserved a fifth of the silver production for itself. This share, known as the quinto, represented the principal revenue that the crown derived from its american possessions.

-The Spanish kings used Silver for many things.

-First, silver was rapidly spread throughout Europe, for Spanish kings used to to repay foreign bankers as well as pay for imported goods from other areas.

-Spanish kings also used silver to finance his army. During a time of multiple wars, Spanish rulers used silver to help finance a powerful army and bureaucracy.
