The New Symbol of Hope
Many people who have attempted suicide, suicide, or are advocates for those who have been affected by suicide have adopted the semicolon as a symbol, indicating that their life (or someone else's) did not end, but rather paused and changed direction.
Many have taken to getting micro-tattoos of this symbol as a personal reminder.
