History
Cerebral Palsy was first discovered in the mid-1800's. Not much was known about the disease, and it took until the 20th century just for it to be accepted that the issue is brain-related. In 1952, a book about a girl with CP hit the New York Times bestseller list. Currently, ongoing research is trying to find a way to prevent genetic CP from occuring.
