Definition

Cerebral palsy is the general term for multiple movement and coordination problems caused by brain damage at a young age. It is generally categorized into a few subtypes.

Spastic - more muscle tone, stiff

Dyskinetic - changing muscle tone, uncontrolled

Ataxic - balance/coordination, hard to control

Mixed - a combination of these types
