The Watergate Scandal

June 17,1972-

On this date, there was a break in at the Watergate hotel. Burglars were caught attempting to eavesdrop and steal secret documents from the Democratic Party. Soon enough, President Nixon's reelection campaign was linked to the burglary. As a result, Nixon looked guilty and decided to resign before he could get impeached.

This wasn't portrayed as accurately as it could have been. They didn't show much of the scandal in the movie.
