Zonal interior

The hair in the photo seems healthy yet coloured for this we would be using an acid perm. This style of hair shows me that this person is edgy and fun someone who likes to have minimal styling time but still be eye catching, fun and sleek at the same time. A lot of people with styles like this like to have dramatic shapes to their hair. I think a perm could enhance this style in all of the right places. We would use a Zonal pattern- interior. The great thing is this perm like the style will take minimum time but will still achieve a dramatic finish. We use orange & purple rods to achieve different textures.

1. Begin by talking over with your client about their hair goals and as well as history. Come up with a plan together.

2. Drape your guest with a pop up bag, towel, cape & another towel over the cape.

3. Retrieve all of your tools needed to complete you will need: end papers, 12 purple rods, 3 teal rods, tail comb, spray bottle, towel, cotton, barrier cream & acid perm, read over perm directions.

4. Bring your guest to the sink & shampoo their hair with clarifying or gentle volume shampoo. You can now add some miracle lightweight to even out the porosity of their hair.

5. Comb hair & begin your sectioning.

6. SectIon a straight line side part over the left eye to the highest point on the head (apex) take the width of your purple rod going down the side that has the most hair, bringing that down to the front of the ears. This is what we call the rectangle of the design. We will keep everything out on the shorter s will be our perm free zone.

7. Taking your perm tool measure a 1x base parallel to the part at the top of the head. Comb and project the hair 90 degrees up use your comb and position it in the middle of the hair to find your 90 degree projection.

8. Take end paper and fold around the hair this creates a "bookend" effect using your fingers bring the paper to the top of the hair strands and position your perm tool wrap the paper around your tool in a rolling manor using both hands to roll down equally. Secure the strap & position it facing up away from the base.
