How the battle was won.

The battle of Long Island ended in defeat for General Washington and Patriot troops. Causing the British to have a major victory in the battle of Long Island. Because of one little tiny mistake in one of General Washington's plan, they made a mistake and British troops stormed them with all their force and defeated the patriots. Yet little of the British troops were killed, thousands of patriots were either killed or in other cases, dead. After a lot of dead patriots they went to the city and burned New York.
