Medoc was a red wine used in the story. It is made in southern France. In the story it says Montressor used medoc to give to Fortunato. It mentions it quite a few times. One statement it used in says, "The wind sparkled in his eyes and the bells jingled.My own fancy grew warm with the Medoc."
