Important dates: 1800's The railroad industry was powerful although Americans thought the railroads abused it's powerful.
Background information: In congress he worked past the interstate commerce act, to regulate railroads.
The next year Mr. Reagan returned home to lead the newly formed Texas railroad commission, which was setup to regulate railroads within Texas.
Why was he important to the civil war?
He was important because he helped the people in the civil war in battle by having the railroads to help them.
