Pacific Blood Star

The Pacific blood star is a species of starfish most commonly found along the coast of the North America. They are most recognizable for their bright orange/red color but it can range from tan to almost purple. This star is relatively small, only getting up to 8 centimeters in diameter, rarely ever getting bigger than a diameter of 12 centimeters. They also most commonly have 5 rays, (arms) to a star, but they could have anywhere between 4-6 rays.
