Limb Regeneration- they can regenerate their arms and their entire bodies

Size- up to half a meter in diameter

Arms/Rays- 13-16

Color- varied color, usually difrent then their outer spines

Home-Great Barrier Reef, pacific and Indian Oceans

This is on of the biggest sea stars in the ocean. They can grow over half a meter in diameter with approximately 5 centimeter long spikes that cover it's entire body. This starfish can destroy whole ecosystems, they prey directly on live coral, they also caused the Great Barrier Reef incident where they were killing of the coral and people tried to hunt them, but the way they tried to kill them, (chopping them up) resorted in only making the population grow due to their fragmentation ability, (this will be explained in the bext slide).
