Birth & Death:

^Archimedes was born the year of 287 BC in Syracuase, Italy. Probaly born in the island of Sicily in Meditterean Sea.

^Died in 212 BC.

Family:

^Very little is known about his early life & family.

^Son of the astronomer & mathematician Phidias.

^There is a probability he was also related to Mieron or Hieron King of Syracause & his son.

Education:

^Studied in the learning capital of Alexandria, Egypt.

^Educated at Egypt by Euclid followers.

^When at teens, he was sent to study math with teachers that had learned from Euclid, at Alexandria,Egypt.

Contributions to math past & present:

^We sure can not ignore Archimedes

when it comes to his math contributions.
