Alexander the Great Education:


Teachers & their teachings:

^ Alex had many teachers, tutors, etc.

^One of his teachers & the best known one is Aristotle, the greek philosopher. Aristotle is from the Roman era, educated at Platonic Academy, which Alex spent studying with for 3 years.

^Leonidas is one of Alex's first teachers, which struggled to control

the defiant boy. Leonidas was relative of Olympias. Phillip the father of Alex, hired Leonidas to train Alex in math, archery, & horsemanship or the training & care of horses.

^His favorite tutor was Lysimachus which devises a game where he impersonated the heroic Greek warrior Achilles.
