III.Process

A. Purpose

When writing in description think, “ What am I trying to accomplish?” You should always give a little thought to your audience when using details when describing events or objects to make sure it comes across the way you want it to. Imagining the subject helps you be more descriptive.

B. Audience

• Author has to decide what is important to describe bout the subject

• Accurate and proper description is important so the reader can understand the main idea

• Details have to be carefully selected, too many unnecessary details will cause chaos and confusion

• What matters most?
