We learned that....
Ancient Egyptians mummified the dead to create a happy afterlife. They believed that when someone dies their soul flows elsewhere and to be reunite they must be buried. Although, the Egyptians believed the afterlife is a "happy place", other people had different perspectives towards the afterlife, such as Sumerians. They thought the afterlife was miserable due to death. Mummifying was a pattern , but it did come with a price. Being embalmed costs a lot of money for one person and was very expensive so not everybody could afford it. Ancient Egyptians supported afterlife and also looked at the positive side. Due to this, it formed their religion and led them into creating mummies.
