How did Theseus kill the Minotaur?

When Theseus got to Crete, he was soon spotted by the Kings daughter, Adriane, who instantly fell in love with him. Before Theseus went into the labyrinth, Adriane visited him, giving him a roll of string, so he could escape the labyrinth.

When Theseus entered the labyrinth, he quickly encountered the Minotaur. Theseus grabbed the monster by its horns and tore them off. He then threw one of them like a javelin, puncturing the beasts chest. He then escaped using Adrianes string.
