Early life

Jimi Hendrix was born in Seattle, Washington on November 27, 1942 by the Name of Johnny Allen Hendrix(which was later changed to James Marshall). He had a rough childhood because his mother had him at 17 and she had a poor relationship with his father. Jimi spent little time with his parents and as a result fell to music as a sanctuary. He taught himself to play guitar at the age of 17. He was a natural lefty so he had to flip over the guitar and play it upside down.
