After he was honorably discharged from the military, Jimi played with a small band under the name Jimmy James. He later joined with a famous bassist who became his manager. Jimi also joined with a very talented bassist and drummer to form The Jimi Hendrix Experience. While they performed in England they gained massive respect from bands such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Who.
