Music in Brazil

-Frevo is an energetic style of music, most common in northeast of Brazil. Traditionally this style of music is played by a band of three people. Frevo is the primary music played for the Salvadoran Carnival in Brazil each year.

Popular frevo artists: Nelson Ferreira, Dodo & Osmar, Luperce Miranda, Irmaos Valenca, and Oswaldo Santiago.

Other popular Brazilian music styles include choro, brega, maracatu, Brazilian rock, and axe. You will hear music everywhere you go in Brazil, and with so many different styles; there's something for everybody to enjoy!
