Flow of energy

Through an ecosystem

All of the energy in the ecosystem comes from one thing, the sun. It is the beginning of the flow of energy it supplies everything with energy, it gives plants (the producers) the energy to grow.

The producers or plants are eaten by other animals who use the plants to get energy

Now bigger animals that eat more meat eat the animals that eat plants which gives them energy

So the sun provides all animals and things with energy in some way or another
