HISTORY
Chinese chess also known as "XiangQi" is a two player board game which is extremely popular in china. The game was supposed to represent a war between two armies with the object of capturing the king . The game was originally developed by Harold James Ruthven Murray. The word XiangQi is usually translated to "elephant game" or "figure game" because the Chinese characters used (象棋) means elephant or figure.
