Johnny Said, “No”

A Poem by Alysa Madrigal

PDF Preview

One of our favorite performances of

Il est bel et bon by The King’s Singers

Il est bel et bon

English Translation

What do I think when I think Agnus Dei?

I think power and strength,

Striking moments of harmonies and clashes.

Lifting our voices to the clouds,

Feeling a fist clench in our guts,

As we reach higher and higher.

I think beauty,

And the breath of relief after the last note.

When I think of Agnus Dei,

I think of an everlasting peace and harmony.

I think this is what a choir is supposed to be.
