The help to make the middle class

The GI Bill is credit with “making” the middle class because the the government gave money to the vets coming back which didn’t make them poor. Since the vets had money they weren’t in the lower class because they weren’t poor but they weren’t rich so the only spot is the middle class which expanded making a larger middle class.
