Research

De Caluwé

De Caluwé is a change management consultant and he uses colours to describe types of organisations and the consequences for a series of aspects of the change management process. His theory consisted originally of five colours.

yellow: colour of the sun,

representing power based

organisations

blue: as in blueprint, standing for

strictly planned and structured

organisations

red: colour of blood, symbolizing

people oriented cultures

green: colour of chlorophyll

(making plants grow), standing for

organisations that stress

development

white: contains all colours,

organisations that are willing and

able to cope with any

development

Later he added two colors.

silver as in steel, robot-like

organisations

gold, a paradise like environment
