Myth #2

Artemis was very protective of her virgin nymphs, so her father disguised himself as Artemis and slept with the nymph Callisto. This left Callisto pregnant and Artemis furious. Artemis was so upset that Callisto was no longer pure that she turned her into a bear before planning to kill her. Before Artemis could inflict death upon her, Zeus intervened and turned her into the constellation known as Ursa Major.
