In 1966 United States congress passed the Endangered Species Preservation Act which classified grey wolves as endangered. The Endangered Species Act of 1973 called for their repopulation.

Once repopulated, the grey wolves began hunting elks again and things went back to normal.

-Plants repopulated
-Increase in beaver population
-Bird rebound
