Life After Presidency
After his presidency, Dwight D. Eisenhower retired to a farm on the edge of the Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He raised cattle, painted, and spent more time than ever before with his wife, Mamie. They entertained, traveled, and Dwight continued to be involved in political life with President John F. Kennedy and President Lyndon B. Johnson.
