The West Australian understands the infant and his older siblings were unsupervised in the bath last Friday afternoon when he slipped under the water.

The children’s mother and her boyfriend were at home at the time but it is understood neither of them was watching the children.

The boy was taken to hospital after being pulled unconscious from the water but he died the next day.
