As mentioned before being optimistic, motivational, taking chances and believing in your strengths are all parts of what the American dream can be broken down into. This view point can go a long way. The concept of the American dream has also been used in songs by famous singers. For instance, in the song performed and sung by Miley Cyrus there is a specific line that goes, "Keep on moving, keep climbing, Keep the faith, baby, it's all about, it's all about the climb..." Miley Cyrus. "The Climb." Hannah Montana: The Movie Soundtrack. Walt Disney Records, 2009. CD. This line of the song is talking about how always having faith and moving forward is the roadway to your dreams. This ties in with the idea of the American dream as well. In a short description the lyrics of the song are saying how there will be a huge climb to your destination but once you get there, you have achieved your goal and are successful and satisfied. This goes hand in hand with the quotes from the book I mentioned earlier and also the claim I made about what I believe the American dream to be saying. All of which have something relating to success or reaching a goal. All in all, the author Fitzgerald used the American dream to represent that taking chances, being hopeful and not giving up is the key to your desires in life.
