Angle of sunlight

The angle of sunlight hitting the earth can determine many things. The shape of the earth is sphere, so much of the sunlight hits the earth at different angles. The equator is an area that always receives direct sunlight, and the angle of the sun is at a 90° angle. However, at other latitudes, the angle of the sunlight is less direct, causing it to be less intense. The further north or south of the equator you are, the less direct sunlight you receive because of the tilted angle the sun is hitting the earth.
