A Note From Bear's Adoptive Family: Bear is our 1st rescue experience & it was amazing. I found him so serendipitously. I was searching on petfinder for a golden mix, found Penny, who was sweet but not quite right, then I checked out the Compassionate Animal Adoption Rescue site & Facebook page & discovered Bear. There was just something about him. I could see it in the picture of you kneeling down in front of him. He was starting his new life full of love just as Callie was finishing hers surrounded by the love of all our extended family who had arrived for the holidays. Several weeks before this, I bought a rug for Ken's Christmas gift that features a golden dog and a black dog playing in the snow. I had no thought that we would ever have a black dog & was just thinking that he would like it because if the golden. Now though, it's so meaningful, Callie & Bear greeting each other as they past into & out of our lives. CAA Rescue, you were so great to work with. Responding to my millions of emails, sharing so much information & making sure that we knew for sure that Bear would be the right match. I really appreciate that you do not rush the process, even though there is need for space in your foster homes, so that everyone can think clearly & carefully about the match. It is so wonderful that Sharon & Ramzez make Facebook pages for their fosters. It made it so much easier to know Bear. It is very good that you do not adopt the dogs out at the first visit. I think you handle it in the same way that people like me who work with children work to establish relationships & trust so that they always feel safe. He will be loved for the rest of his days by our family.
