Violence

Violence is one of the biggest problems that this region faces. The violence in the Senai peninsula is as horrifying as ever. This arid piece of land which would usually not be wanted, is a huge trading port because of the easy access to the sea and other countries because of the Suez Canal. This is causing all the countries around the Senai peninsula to fight over this valuable area. This canal is very important to transporting oil and other resources to other countries. The Egyptian government is currently trying to contain the violence.

Environment

SWANA has many environmental problems as well. This region, used to be full of forests, but over using the natural resources have caused deforestation. This is very harmful to the environment because it killing off animals and plants that need that particular environment, and it hurts the worlds population with how much carbon dioxide isn't being absorbed from the trees. Some of countries, like Scotora, is currently trying to protect the trees that are left.
