The Three Synoptic Gospels

When Catholics refer to the Synoptic Gospels, they are talking about the three gospels that have many similarities, are closely related, and tell stories in a similar way."Synoptic" means seen together. Because of this alikeness, the Church includes these three gospels in the New Testament Canon to solidify that Jesus indeed existed and performed these actions.
