Women also use to write books in the 17th century. If you were of high status and nobility you were able to print books under your own name, but if not it was usually done in secret as Anonymous or under a name of a man.
Most books written by women were for women and women needed to know how to read so that they could read their bibles. The most popular genre was cook books but there were a few books that expressed the views of feminism and were often retaliated by other books.
