If I Stay

If I Stay by Gayle Forman is the type of book that stays with you. It was most definitely one of my favourite books.
Mia's hopes and dreams of becoming a famous cello player have been shattered after a horrific car crash. She finds herself out of her body walking around, trapped in another life. She can see what's happening around her but cannot be seen. She is trapped in her own body, a prisoner to her own mind.
I really liked this book it is one of my top ten. I think Gayle did a spectacular job. It really made you think about life and what you would do if you if you had the chance to live or die.
I recommend this book for anyone over 12 it talks a lot about dying so it wouldn't be very suitable for younger readers. I think everybody should read this book at some point of their life.
